After successfully using Windows calendar for a couple of weeks, a message
now pops up saying calendars disabled--further details say access denied.
How do I enable?

I would look at the Properties of the files and folders around:
"%ProgramFiles%\Windows Calendar\wincal.exe"
You may have to 'take ownership'

Hi Val, I am having the same problem and wanted to know if you were able to
resolve it. After about a week of using celandar, it is now telling me it is
"disabled" and I can't figure it out.

"Val" posted that on April 5th (almost two months ago in case you've
lost track) and has not been seen here since.

OK Nonny, how many posts were posted by users who had an "X" in their
name of March 8th?

On the left side (Navigation pane), where your calendar is listed, put a
checkmark in front of it.
If you don't see the Navigation pane, click on View - Navigation pane
