The end of a golden era

Yesterday was the last day of the golden era of Microsoft,
that lasted from 2001 to 30-Oct-2006.

What happened on 30 Oct 2006 so signify the end?
Vista RTM was finalized at build 6.0.

From now on, things are not going to be too colorful for Microsoft, and
there is significant changes on the way for the computing world.

That's an understatement. What will happen is a total disaster. MS will have
so many problems, that of course had their roots several years before....

Im not kidding... you will see how the events will unravel...

However Microsoft is no longer the only solution. Other people will grab the
opportunity to dominate.... and diversity will arise....

So with that perspective, change may be welcome.. but MS will be the one to
lose....

MS will survive of course.. but its role will fade out....

Sorry MS, you had all the chances.. you had the time, the money, the
people.. and you blew it.....

Another cross-posted, poorly grammared, over generalised, and meaningless
statement from Mr. Smith.
"Sorry MS" -- you should be sorry.

Still Drunk I see, sounds more like you have issue's that need a major
Service Pak upgrade. Go stand on someone else's bucket and blow your horn.
Microsoft is not the issue.

It must be really quite tough being part of the minority claiming the 'end
of the world' each year, only to see the sun rise up on a new day..

Global warming is a much bigger threat than MS will ever be. Now global
warming is a fact. I wonder if Bush has checked with his god (large
polluting corporations) on this yet.

Andy Grove (do you know who he is?) once said - Only paranoid can survive.

I remember there was a brand name called IBM PC and another one - Compaq.

But I haven’t been able to find them for many years and I wonder where they
are now? Let me know just in case you've found them.

So why not take this as a friendly reminder from a heartbroken customer?

Being a "professional" requires more inner qualities such as courtesy and
compassion, not just to have a smart
mouth and know how to play with screw drivers.

Or maybe I have mistaken the title as the "most vulnerable penguin"?
