english language pack for vista ultimate

i have a german vista ultimate
where can i download an english language pack to change the language for my
partner?
i dont get anything under updates and i am a bit desperate after searching
the microsoft websites for hours
i had originally vista home premium, they told me in the shop i can change
the language, hahaha, was a nice joke. so i bought the ultimate upgrade but
had to use the german not to loose my datas and now i cannot find
english...... grrrrrrrrrr

They will be available in Windows Update as optional updates. If you had
hidden them, use the option to "restore hidden updates" to see them again.

As P. Di Stolfo and Richard has posted you will need to get the MUI pack for your Vista Ultimate that is in German at present.

***BUT*** you will need to be careful here. In North America when you purchase a Vista Ultimate the default language is in English and also available in Spanish on request. The MUI pack available here in North America will contain many other languages that you can change too with this MUI pack BUT NOT English or Spanish since they are the default languages here..

To get a English language MUI pack you need to install the MUI pack that is available in Europe (as an example) where the English MUI language pack is not the default when purchasing a Vista Ultimate system. This pack is available outside of North America. Here it is not, at least the one that contains Eng. as a language you can change to.
