entering Sleep mode whilest downloading /uploading files

If I set my computer to go into sleep mode will it carry on
downloading/uploading files ie torrents, peer-to-peer etc..?

Unless you have your network or router setup to turn off while the PC sleeps
it will do just fine. Mine does.
