"prm7",
I am sorry you are hitting this issue. If you would like to verify whether
or not the ATI Radeon driver is causing the issue, try rolling back the
driver (move it back to the version that was working before the Windows
Update). Here's how:
1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type: devmgmt.msc
4. Press the <Enter> key, or click OK
5. When the device manager opens, go to the hardware that does not work.
6. Right-click on it, and click Properties
7. Click on the Driver tab
8. Click Roll Back Driver
9. Follow the prompts.
If this is unsuccessful, delete the hardware and let Windows XP pick the
default driver it was using when you installed it.
1. While still in Device Manager, right-click on the troubled hardware, and
click Delete
2. Confirm that yes, you wish to delete the hardware
3. After the hardware disappears, right-click on any item within that list
and then click Scan for hardware changes.
4. When windows finds the hardware, follow the prompts to allow Windows to
find the best driver for this hardware.
Let us know how this works out.
Sincerely,
Pat Walters [MSFT]
