In Windows XP I have been able to play a sound from the command line by
using sndrec32.

This command does not seem to be available in Vista. Is there an equivalent
I can use in Vista??

There is something called SoundRecorder.exe in Vista, but it only supports
recording sound, not playback.

Using sndrec32 on Windows Vista
This may or may not help your particular situation, but SNDREC32.exe
does work on Vista. So you can always copy it from an XP system to the
system32 directory in Vista and it will work as is.

*Thank You *This did work, even though I got an error message statin
that it could not register itself

Now my links containing :

'' C:/[location]/sndrec32.exe " /play /close "C:/[location]/My.wav

are all working on the vista machine

( they open, play and close

Thanks Agai
