Erratic Keyboard / Typing

After I installed Vista, the cursor jumps all around the document when
typing. It happens in any typing, but is most noticeable in word.

Other people here have had a similar problem and have attributed it to the
touch pad bring too sensitive. I have a HP dv4275rn laptop and I am going to
be re-loading the touch pad drivers tonight (XP version). Right now I don’t
have an on/off switch for the touchpad and I don’t know if I lost it with
Vista installation or if it never there.

This was not a problem prior to Vista!!!!, however I do remember having to
fix something like this way back, many years ago.

Does anyone else have any feedback, input or suggestions? This has been
driving me crazy. If reloading the drivers doesn’t work (!!!!!!) I don’t know
what I will do (!!!!!)

Kathy,
I had the same problem. In my case, it was the touch pad. Under XP, i had it
deactivated, but when I upgraded to Vista the touchpad driver was
reactivated. So when I was typining, I unintentially was touching the pad
with my palms.

See if that's your problem. If so, avoid touching the pad (hard) or disable
the touchpad.

Good luck!

The problem does have anything to do with the touch pad. To see for your self
type in characters without touching the touch pad like the hunt and peck
method. the results will be the same.
