Error:06:0000:0000FF2A after DL Critical UDs Help pls

I Dl'd 5 Cricital updates: "Critical update for WIndows Media Player Script
Commands" (KB828026)/ & "Windows Automactic Updating Windows ME", / &
"Secricuty update for Windows ME" (KB891711) ,/ & Security update for Windows
ME" (KB888113), / & Cumulative Security update for Internet Explore 6 Service
Pack 1" (KB867282)... Now I'm having problems access a lot of my programs,
(however I can access the interenet) and when comp is started, upload to
Desktop, it shuts down to a screen with an "ERROR:06:0000:0000FF2A". Can some
one please help me!!

I had a similar issue today. I downloaded several updates, and upon
restarting my computer - Windows loaded and approximately 30 seconds later,
crashed into a blue screen with the message:

"An error has occurred. To continue:

Press enter to return to windows or:

Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to restart your computer. If you do this, you will
lose any unsaved information in all open applications.

Error: 06 : 00C2 : 0000A0D9

All the "0"s are zeroes.

Any information to help would be useful, as other than safe mode to retrieve
data on the hard drive, my computer is useless right now.

KB891711 is your problem, Shay. Check back in the posts on this update for
the last week. I had to use Safe Mode to uninstall the update to get my
computer to load up properly. Several other people have posted with more
elegant solutions than I used. I finally had to turn off my automatic update
function because Microsoft keeps wanting to give me the update.
Unfortunately I still have whatever vulnerability the update is designed to
fix.
