Error 0x242fff when trying to download update KB914388

I am gettiing the error 0x0242fff when trying to download update KB914388 -
Microsoft describes this update as:
"Security Update for Windows XP (KB914388).
A remote code execution security issue has been identified in the DHCP
Client service that could allow an attacker to remotely compromise your
Windows-based system and gain control over it."

If anybody can possibly help me, I would really appreciate it, thank you.

If that file does not exist, please post the latest section of:
C:\WINDOWS\WindowsUpdate.log

Hmmm, no useful information there, can you post a corresponding section from
C:\WINDOWS\WindowsUpdate.log
(a section which matches the date and time of one of those 914388 attempts)
