As dutifully instructed, I went to the windows update site and had it show
me all the attempted updates to my computer, over near the top left.
I noticed that, night after night, it was trying to install the same update.
Beside each attempt was a little failure icon and when I clicked on it, I
got the 0x66A message.
Thanks, Mow!
