Error 0x80004005

I try the Microsoft update and while it searches for updates i take the error
0x80004005... I red some topics about thios error... irun the validation and
it is ok... My OS is winxp pro sp2

Saying that i run the validation and it is ok i mean that i passed the
validation but the error continues ....

I had the same problem.

I have configured my internet cable router Firewall to unblock every port for this machine.
I have switch user to : administrator

Now it is working !!!

The other user had admin right but maybe windows did not like the name...

I don't think the firewall was the problem because I did many installation update without having to unblock the port...

The only think I see is that it was the first time I use this use Name, the user was "Famille"
Maybe I was just lucky but no problem on administrator user...

I have Windows Vista Business and get this same error message when I try to
VBScript as recommended to be able to install iTunes. Can you offer any
advice?
