Error 0x80048820 Accessing Hotmail from WLM 12.0.1606

Hi there! I am using Windows Live Mail version 12.0.1606. Starting Friday,
June 27, 2008 I was no longer able to retrieve or send my hotmail e-mails. I
am getting the following error:

Unable to send or receive messages for the account.
Sorry, we were unable to sign you in to Windows Live ID at this time. Please
try again later.

Server Error: 0x80048820
Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048820

I deleted my account, uninstalled Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Sign-In
Assistant and Windows Live installer and then re-installed them all back with
the latest installer from http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview, however, it
did not resolve the issue.

I am able to access my Hotmail accoutn from Internet Explorer 7.0 without
any problems.

Any clue what might be causing the error?

Bellevueite, you forgot to include the response.

Anyhow, it turned out that mail.services.live.com switched to using
application/pkix-crl content-type for message retrieval which was not allowed
on my firewall. Adding this content-type resolved the issue.
