Error 0x80070490 when trying to install KB940157

Windows update says that this update is available but returns this error when
I try to install it. OS is Vista Business SP1 running on a Dell laptop.
I've tried several times but still no luck. Anyone have any ideas what might
be causing this error?

Can you download/install KB940157 manually?

1. Assuming 32-bit, go to
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...5-95B91B453284
and Save the download to your desktop (do not Run it).

2. Right-click on the saved file and select Run as Administrator to install.
Follow all prompts.

instructions:
