Error 0x80072EE2 SP2 Upgrade

Hi all,

I know this is not a new problem. However, I have tried all of the Microsoft
"self help" suggestions and others from here and I still cannot access the
download list.

The error message occurs after the update page has been scanning for updates
for several minutes. I only have had this problem after installing the SP2
update. The problem exists on 2 machines, a desktop & a portable - the
portable has never been used.

I have uninstalled SP2 and tried to upgrade from SP1, same message. I have
re-installed SP2 and tried again - still no luck.

It may be relevant that on the desktop I am unable to upgrade Norton
Firewall & AntiVirus as well - I have not installed it on the portable yet.
MsOffice updates work fine on both machines.

Is there anyone out there who can help? It would be much appreciated.

Nick, try www.updatexp.com. My issue was a router problem. I have a
wireless network and I had to go to my ISP and adjust my MTU settings. Good
