Error 0x80072EEF

When i try to execute windowsupdate in WinXP Pro SP2 I receive always the
message "cannot display the page Error 0x80072EEF.

Are you using the WinXP firewall or a 3rd party one ?

From a post by Gigel, MSFT :

" This error code translates to ERROR_INTERNET_CANNOT_CONNECT. This
could be caused by firewall software blocking the new
v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com URL. Configuring your firewall
software to let this URL thru could solve the
problem.
