When running the new Win update, I get this error. Troubleshooter
explaination suggests entering 3 URLs into firewall with Http://nnn,
Https://nnn and * (wildcard)nnn into firewall. However IE6 accepts these but
Norton IntS doesn't accept / : or * characters. Norton web site no help.
I can't be the only one?

Thanks Roger. It does work. However after running the update process, I then
blocked the svhost again, as I've no idea what this allows to get through and
whether advantage can be taken by malicious software.

I have to confess to be confused by the wording of the MS troubleshooter
offers. The text formatted as they describe does work for IE security.

Thanks again.

Roger,
How did you determine that the * should be replaced with v5?
