Hiya

I've read a few of your comments on Error Number 0x80072EFD, and i've came
to the conclusion that Microsoft aint gonna do anything, Symantec aint gonna
do anything.

So theres no point re-configuring your firewall- Norton Personal Firewall
2003, which appears to be the culprit.
I've tried that already.
Nor is there any point trying to configure anything via Internet Properties,
that'll do diddly squid.
I've tried that already aswell.

The Only real way around it is turning your Windows Firewall on, turing
norton firewall off, then going onto update that way. Then once pc has
restarted (as most updates require rebooting), Norton will turn itself back
on automatically (if not, then d.i.y!)
then turn off windows firewall to avoid conflicts, and your updated.

Hope that settles any probs!

80072EFD..ERROR..

Thanks for the help, but it only worked for the 'Non-Critical'updates such
as WMP 10 and ATI graphics update.... the critical updates failed again with
the same error.

We need a work around llll or lots of emails to MS tech support....
