Hi,

Using SUS on my W2K server (SP4) and a GPO in AD to set
the AU options for the clients (W2K Prof. SP4) I have
managed to finally get my clients to query my own server
for updates instead of the MSWUsite. However I get
messages in the C:\winnt\windows update.log like the
following:

2005-01-10 19:24:40 18:24:40 Error IUCTL
Library download error. Will retry. (Error 0x80072F78)

and "Failed to download iuident.cab from http://defsys to
c:\program Files\WindowsUpdate\V4

Does anyone know what the problem is and how to solve it ?

Problem solved:

The error in the Windows Update.log as shown above and in
the text below, turned out to be a muddled information.
Searching the net I finally found a site which could
analyse the IIS log files and that shoved an error called
80190191. Searching for that, I found a site explaining
what to look for, and eventually the problem turned out to
be a wrong username/password in the Anonymous Access part
of my default Website which hosts the SUS.

This solved the problem. Thanks to those who has used time
and energy to create pages and docs about various problems
with SUS. During the cause of searching for a solution, I
have learned a lot.
