Error (0x800a0007) in Windows Update

Windows Update in my Windows Me (Russion edition) has encountered error
0x800a0007 and ask me to install Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 Service
Pack 4 (SP4). I can't install this Service Pack. I've got a message "An error
occurred while setup was trying to verify the version of Microsoft Data
Access Components...".
Please, help me!

Download MDAC 2.8 and save it to disk :
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

Download MSXML 3.0 SP4, save to disk :
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
Close IE. Install MDAC2.8 first, then MSXML 3.0 SP4.

Best to temporarily disable your AV program prior to installation.
REMEMBER to reenable the AV after the installations are completed.
