I am running XP Home SP2 and I get error 0x800B0109 when WU goes into
scanning mode. I am also and crypt32 Event ID: 11 "Failed extract of
third-party root list from auto update cab at: <http...authrootstl.cab> with
error: A required certificate is not within its validity period when
verifying against the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed
file." in the event log. I've tried replacing certificates with no result,
any help would be appreciated.

Kevin

just click start, then run and type:
regsvr32 softpub.dll wintrust.dll initpki.dll dssenh.dll
rsaenh.dll gpkcsp.dll sccbase.dll slbcsp.dll cryptdlg.dll

then hit o.k. and you should get a succeeded window for each d.ll
