Error 0x800F0100 on WinUpdate Install

I did a WinXp update today and installed 5 updates but the sixth update
failed to install. I got an error message indicating a 0x800F0100 error.
The file that failed to install was: Windows XP (KB900485).

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Download the update from here and SAVE it:

IF the system fails to pass WGA, go here:

After passing WGA, when the download of KB900485 completes, close the
browser and any other open programs.
Install WindowsXP-KB900485-v2-x86-ENU.exe

If the update still fails to install, boot to Safe Mode:

Try installing WindowsXP-KB900485-v2-x86-ENU.exe now
By booting to Safe Mode the system is running minimal Services. If the
installation failure was caused by 3rd party software, then installing
from Safe Mode will mitigate that.
