Error 0x8024000c on Windows Update

Running XPSP2 and trying to run an update from the Windows Update
Site. It finds the files I need and begins to download. When it gets
to the install, it fails.

OK, I appreciat the help.

I decided to remove the PC completely off the ntwork and try a
dial-up. Sure enough it works ok.

SO the issue has to be internal. We don't use a proxy, so I am going
to have to research the firewall some.

Odd that v4 works but v5 doesn't.

OK, researched the errors some more. Researched the 801901f6 error as
well as the 0x8024000c error. Since we aren't connected to a proxy I
am unsure what is causing the problem. I wasn't able to get help with
our firewall.

Has anyone gotten these errors and not been behind a proxy server or
tried to get these updates from their SUS?
