Error 0x8024001D message

Trying to access windows update and it errors out with the # in my subject
line and the ONLY help topic on this I can find listed is in spanish, which I
can't understand.

Thanks Galen, it took abit for it to look like it worked but it seems to
have fixed my problem.

I am using xp sorry forgot to mention that before heh, was a little
frustrated but now I'm all set.

Is that the problem you're having?

(If so then follow the directions - if that's not the exact same problem

Hi Galen,

I'm having the same exact problem. I went to the link you provided and saw
some code that people have said works, but no directions on how or where to
use the code.
This is what I see: by refering to this post to solve the problem, now the
Windows Update is running ok. the command lines as follows:

net stop wuauserv
cd /d %windir%
rd /s softwaredistribution
net start wuauserv

Help me please!

Enter the next two lines - one at a time - pressing enter after each
(exit command line interface)
