error: 0x80244001 appears, pls help

I failed to do windows upgrade by appearing error "0x80244001".

I've finished running "FIXPATH.exe".

Next, I RUN "MSXML3.dll" by using full path, but it still appears the
application error diaolog. The error masssage says:

"Application initial error (0xc0000005). Click OK to end programme."

What can I do to fix these problems?

I have the same problem. I've repeatedly tried to register msxml3.dll using
the full path (%windir%\system32\MSXML3.dll) and still get 0x80244001. I've
also installed the latest MS XML Parser (SP4) update to no avail. Unitl this
showstopper, I had installed all critical security updates, but I have not
installed SP1 for fear of screwing up my system.
