i always get error 0x80244010 while trying to do winbdows update, windows
auto-updates don't work either. i've tryed to shutdown the firewall (Zone
Alarm) but still the problem remains. i don't have the windows firewall
activated. i use norton 2004 and i've tryed to disable it too. Can't go
around the problem. Any ideas?

Uninstall the .Net framework. It's the only way.

Greetings

This worked for me

There are 2 stages

1. Visit this link and download .Net 1.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Click download and install fix

2. A. . Click on Start, Run and type "REGSVR32 MSXML.DLL" (without the
quotes,
please
note there is a space between Regsvr32 and the file name). You should see a
popup
message that this process succeeded.

B. Click on Start, Run and type "REGSVR32 MSXML2.DLL" (without the quotes,
please
note there is a space between Regsvr32 and the file name). You should see a
popup
message that this process succeeded.

C. Click on Start, Run and type "REGSVR32 MSXML3.DLL" (without the quotes,
please
note there is a space between Regsvr32 and the file name). You should see a
popup
message that this process succeeded

Now try running the update once again.
