Error 0x80244010: perhaps solution (for me at least)?

Hi,

I had the same problem as described in many posts in that group. My
installation is: fresh WinXP Home on Gigabyte GA-8S655FX-L with P4
2.4GHz/533FSB, 512MB RAM Kingston. I was able to successfully run WIndows
Update only after installing SP1... Perhaps it will work also tof others.
