error 0x80244018 with Windows 2003 Server SP1 running Windows Upda

I have a Windows 2003 server with SP1 on it. Everytime I try to run Windows
Update I am able to download the update, however during the installation it
fails. The error code under my Windows Update installation history is
0x80244018. I've done lots to try to resolve this, however I don't have my
notes with me at this moment. Is there any suggestions that you can offer
until I can post what I've already done?

80244018 = "Http status 403 - request forbidden"

Maybe you have problems with web proxies or corporate gateways/firewalls.

I would agree with that in most cases, however they have more than one
Windows server in their environment and the others are able to use Windows
Updates without any issues. As far as I know this is the only Windows 2003
server in their network. The others are Windows 2000 server standard. Is
there anything different that Windows 2003 server would look for when doing a
Windows Update that a Windows 2000 server may not do. I'm just trying to see
if I can look at something in the firewall that may be causing the issue.
There are no web proxies configured in the IE setup.

Also, open a command prompt window, type the command

proxycfg

and check that the output proxy configuration is as intended for this site.
