Error 0x8024402c Here's my log file

I am using XP Pro with SP1. I always get the 0x8024402c error when I
connect to WU. I have read about this error here in this group and tried to
start and stop wuauserv. It did not work. I did read in an earlier post
requesting OP to paste in his WinUpdate.log . Below is my paste of my log.
I sure hope that someone can help me in overcoming this error in WU.

I forgot to mention that I am running the free version of ZoneAlarm and
Norton's Anti Virus 2003. I do disable my Norton's AV when I attempt to
log onto WU. I leave ZA running.

Giving svchost internet access solved this for me

Hope this helps

How exactly do you go about giving svchost an internet access? Can you
please share it with me because I have been encountering (very frustratingly)
similar WU-related problem.
