Error 0x80245003 when I try to updat emy clean Dell Dimension 8400

I re-installed my host ooerating system (Windows XP Home Edition w/SP2) on my
Dell Dimension 8400.
When I try to update with the latest patches I get error: 0x80245003
What is this and what does it take to fix it?
