Error 0x80248011 when trying to access Windows udpate

I get this error message: Windows Update has
encountered an error and cannot display the requested
page. I tried the troubleshooting solution, which
suggests changing the value of CSDVersion to "0" - still
not fixed.

I also recently had to reformat my hard drive, due to a
virus. Not sure if that's related.

Any suggestions please?

Hi

Did you try the second suggestion, renaming the SoftwareDistribution
folder:

When searching for available updates on the Windows Update site, you
receive the 0x80248011 error.
