error 0x8DDD0009 after several minutes

I'm working with win2000sp4 and i can't update my windows. everytime i'm
running the microsoft update after 5-10 minutes it's coming the error
0x8DDD0009.
I need help!

Have exactely the same problem. Please help

I am getting this using XP SP2. I follow the instructions from the webpage
but no improvement.

Somebody must know why this is happening?

I'm not sure how much it adds, but I've been having the same problem for
several days now.

Whatever the problem is, it seems to be both persistent and repeatable.

Running something called Dial-A-Fix that I downloaded free and checking the
Windows Update option seems to have cleared this problem. I've had various
problems with Windows Update for the past several months, however, so I won't
be surprised if something goes wrong again. Maybe it's time for me to
abandon Win2K Pro.

I have the same issue working on Win2K SP 4 for a couple of days now. Does
anybody know how to fix it?

I was having this problem with various computers on my network. I found that
if I emptied the Temporary Internet Files (including offline files) and
cleared the cookies the updates would then appear. Hope this helps someone!

I followed the registration advice

regsvr32 /s c:\windows\system32\wuapi.dll
regsvr32 /s c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 /s c:\windows\system32\wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 /s c:\windows\system32\wuauserv.dll
regsvr32 /s c:\windows\system32\wucltui.dll
regsvr32 /s c:\windows\system32\wups.dll
regsvr32 /s c:\windows\system32\wups2.dll
regsvr32 /s c:\windows\system32\wuweb.dll
regsvr32 /s c:\windows\system32\muweb.dll

I was then able to at least see the updates but I got an empty screen when I
tried to review the ones to install.

I think that the problems had a lot to do with the load on Windows Update

I hadn't downloaded all the updates from last week so I tried Windows Update
again. I got the original 0x8DDD0009 message again.
