If it's already asked for a path to install, try manually inputting the
path. Installers usually build default paths using something like %PROGRAM
FILES%/Flight Sim X ... etc. If the %PROG FILES% tag is bad in the registry,
or the installer is having a bad code day it can throw that error. 90% of
the time the error is caused by bad registry data. The other 10% is from bad
installers, usually from bad torrent downloads.
If the manual input on the install path works, check that your registry
value is a REG_EXPAND_SZ type variable instead of a REG_SZ variable. Can't
tell you off the top of my head where the key is tho.
