I had done everything in MS article KB324767, but still after a rebbot, the
problem re-appeared. By accident I noticed a "WINAD" program in my add/delete
program list (despite having Zone Alarm and Anti-Virus Grisoft installed and
up-to-date). I deleted it, as I knew I hadn't installed it and the problem
"went away". So I got there by accident, but it's good to know what was
actually happening.
