Hi,
I was having the same problem as well (though I'm not using SBS). Turned
out to be an IIS config issue....when the server was originally configured as
an SUS server a custom HTTP header was added to the default web site (as part
of a hardening exercise).
Removing the custom HTTP header got rid of the SelfUpdate error.
