Vista Ultimate 64bit. Autoupdate identifies & commences dowload/install of
SP1. Fails repeatedly returning "ERROR CODE 537". Killed NAV & repeated -
no help. Suspects: MSO7Pro was isntalled via downloaded trial then upgraded
to full (yes activated); 1Note7 installed likewise (not included with
MSO7pro); a couple of add-ins (Google desktop search now adds-in to MSO as I
understand it; OsaSync utility; also AdobeAcrobat Pro v8 which installs
"print to adobe" functions. 1Note7 "open a new side note" utility running in
system tray. Nothing else X/O so far as I can see. Single hdd, no
raids/encryptation, logged in as primary user with Admin priviledges.

Ideas?

Thanks,

Schooner

Assuming that you're referring to MS Office 2007 SP1, I'm forwarding your
post to Office Update newsgroup via crosspost.

Thanks, was unaware of the office update NG. Further to Error 537 message on
SP1 install: identical "suspects" exist on home PC except latter not 64bit -
and home PC installed SP1 fine. Anyone know what err537 means?

If you disable the Firewall only as long as you install the SP1 does it install ? It sounds and looks like a Kerberos security issue. Turn on the Firewall after install
