I have a new Dell XPS M1330
I have been try to install MSN messanger for days now with no luck and now I
try again, but was not possible, the down load takes a long time to install
the access and then at 99% install tells me that the acces was not posible
and gives me ERROR 8000FFF, but no were in the trouble shooting this error
has a solution, It is not even mentioned in the list of errors?

Now every time i try to hybernate the lap top it goes to install mode and
tells me to not turn it off because is doing an aupdate but it never does.

the lap top tells me is set up for auto updates from windows daily at 3:00
am , but I think it has never been able to do so, because it can get that far
manually when i try to get up dates , the error 8000fff is always there.

Please help,
regards,
Carlo.

I normally associate this error with Vista.

Perhaps you would like to advise which OS you're using, where you're getting
the download from etc.

Either a Third party program is affecting the WU Service (anti-spwyare programs,
Internet/web accelerators, Firewall/Anti-Virus programs) or the downloaded file is
corrupt.

Is this the file you're trying to download and install?
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

If it is, clear out all your temporary internet files etc and download the file and try
manually installing it.

See if this is realted to the large memory systems being unable to install
updates,

try uninstalled Windows Update KB929777

and then installing it from direct download (do not do automatic update)
