Hello,

I have just installed Live Messenger, but when I try to login, I have an
error message telling me that the service is temporary unavailable. Error
code 80070005. I am running Windows Vista. With my other PC running XP, I
have no problem to connect.

Any idea what the problem might be and how I can solve it?

Thanks

Philippe

Have you looked through all of the tech support info found at windows live ?
The have pages of different things to try. I have tried a bunch of them and
am dealing directly with their techsupport to try to fix it. But it is
starting to look like I am missing files or authority to access folders, even
though i'm administrator. good luck.

you can go to windowslivehelp.com and search for your error number, if that
doesn't help post to the forum and they will get a hold of you in a day or 2.

That's typically what 0x80070005 indicates. What does the log show for
context? Alternatively you could run ProcMon to supplement whatever
diagnostics that you are getting in addition to that code.

That too but the more details you have in your symptom description the
better IMO.
