Not really. After numerous suggestions from the Microsoft tech, none
of which worked, I finally did a clean install of Vista again. I even
tried to do an upgrade install over my existing installation, but that
also failed. Now everything is working correctly. The clean install
really sucked because I had to reinstall everything. But, now the
updates are working and the system just seems to be operating better
all the way around.
