Error 80070426

When trying to download SP2 I received this message...
what is the fix?

A few other people have had this problem. Serch the data base for 'Error
code 80070426' for some solutions. It didn't work for me, but it may help
you. Post your results back.

Hi

Some people have reported that a disabled Cryptographic Service
cased this problem.

I have created a batch file that enables the Cryptographic Service
(and more). You could download and run it from here:

http://www.michna.com/kb/WxSP2.htm#C...Service_Pack_2

Look for fixdb.bat under "Error 0x800710D9 Unable to read from
or write to the database"

I can not enable my Cryptographic Service. When I try I get the following
error:
Could not start Cryptographic Services service on local computer
Error: 193 0xc1�

I ran your BAT file and I am still getting the same error.
Thoughts...

I had to re-insatll Windows XP to fix my Cryptographic Service problem. I
was able to download SP2 after that.
