My wife's PC (Vista Home Prem) on boot this morning had the time in error by
about 6 hours. On shutdown last night the PC did an update (Windows
Defender). I reset the clock, and rebooted. Then we soon got an error
that Windows Update had failed.
Clicked on try again and then got error 80072F8F. I have seen this
elsewhere and is said to happen when the PC's clock is wrong. But the time
is accurate and is accurate in the BIOS (there is no daylight saving in my
part of the world) and the time zone is accurate.
What else then causes this error?
