Hello,

1. The pending.xml file is not present on my system (I changed folder
settings so I can show evereything)
2. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/KB931712 does not apply to me since
the mentioned key is not present on my system
3. I have a day job and don´t have very much time to stay for hours on
the phone with microsoft tech support to solve this
4. I'm really dissapointed with this super-nice-new OS I didn´t choose
to get (It came into my laptop preinstalled)

Please help....

This may be a very helpful post, however, some steps are missing and the
Commands need to be laid out so that one can copy them.
Adding when Enter is pushed would help, too.

To take ownership of the file does the Command go on one line ?

cacls C:\Windows\winsxs\pending.xml /G
and is :F a separate Command ?
