Unable to install XP Service Pack 2 - at each and every attempt I receive the
error code 8007FODF. Any assistance resolving this issue is appreciated.

Hi

0x8007f0df is:

STATUS_SP_BUILD_TO_BUILD
This Service Pack cannot be installed on top of the build currently
installed on your computer. Cancel this installation process,
uninstall your current build, then re-install this Service Pack.

I assume you have previously installed a beta version of SP2.

You will need to uninstall the beta version from Add/Remove Programs
if it is available there.

If you have an OS installation where the SP2 beta build is
slipstreamed, you will need to reinstall the OS to install
the final version of SP2.
