Getting message Internet explorer can't display website when trying to log
into email with Cox.
Try to find updates and get an error message - 800B0001 that does not let me
update internet explorer or other windows updates.
Can anyone help me out?

Error code when you try to use Windows Update or Microsoft Update to install
updates: "0x800B0001":
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958045

Always state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; WinXP 64-bit SP2;
Vista SP1; Vista 64-bit SP2; Win7; Win7 64-bit) when posting in a forum or
newsgroup. Please do so in your next reply.

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)?

Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on the
computer (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought
it)?

This might help you, register these .dll files from the Start, Run command
line:
(the info in the brackets is the applicable OS' not to be included in the
command line)

REGSVR32 SOFTPUB.DLL (XP, Vista & Win7)
REGSVR32 MSSIP32.DLL (XP, Vista & Win7)
REGSVR32 WINTRUST.DLL (XP, Vista & Win7)
REGSVR32 INITPKI.DLL (XP & Vista)

Good luck.

Joe
