error 80131700/NET framework SP 1.1

have always updated well, but now Windows Update detects I have to update
this Microsoft.NET framework 1.1 Service Pack 1. When I first saw it, it said
the update was over 10 MB size and when I tried to install, it failed and
said "Error 80131700".
Closed everything, went again to WUpdate site, runned the thing and again it
detected this Update as necessary, but NOW it said the file was 0 kb. Sighing
deeply, I pressed intall and once again it failed and same error appeared.
Any ideas ? Thanks.
