I too got the error. Unfortunately I don't have a disk that came with my
computer....Help????

No disk therefore only option is to *try* the full download of the update in
question. Of course, there are no guarantees. You may still be required to
provide the original media. Perhaps you should either locate or get the media
in case you need to reinstall office at a later stage.

Thanks, got this error code today with Update for Microsoft Works 8
(KB955428). Went to MicroSoft.com and did search for KB955428 and got
download. Saved then installed. Went to UPdate and checked install there.
Everything worked fine. Did not even need to restart.
