I have tried about a dozen times to install the latest
Nvidia Driver Geforce MX2.

It fails every time and I get the error 80246002. I can't
seem to find anyone who has a clue as to what this code
means and what you need to do to fix it so that I can load
the driver that Windows Update keeps telling me I need.

I tried loading the Nvidia driver from their site but I
get the "did not pass Windows logo testing" warning.

MS WU has (for whatever reason) a well documented problem when offering
drivers, especially Nvidia ones. I'd suggest you ignore the older driver
that WU offers and instead stick with the WHQL ones Nvidia offers.

I'm having the same problem. No idea what error 80246002 means. If someone
comes up with an answer please post it to this thread.

Hi Rick
I got the same message as you. The problem is with microsoft testing. The
nvidia drivers update has not passed the logo test for microsoft all you need
to do is to go to http://nvidia.com and download the drivers directly from
them. I just did that in fact and everything is going great. Hope this was a
help

I have the same issue. I have installed the nvidia driver and the system
will lock up when the screen saver kicks in. I think Microsoft has sold a
LARGE POS (and that don't stand for Point of Sale) to me with SP2.

Windows fails to load this driver as it is older than the driver most of our
comps have now ie the driver they are recommending was released in 2003, the
latest from Nvidia is 2004. Check your driver for your graphics card and you
may see that you already have a later driver.
