Error 81000306 while signing in

Hello,

I'm getting this error since two weeks ago while signing in. I've tried
with different computers, and different versions of Windows Live
Messenger and MSN Messenger.

It only happens with my account, with other accounts it signs in perfectly.

I can only log in in my laptop if I modify the file 'hosts' in
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc", adding "65.54.239.149
messenger.hotmail.com" as I found in the Internet. Nevertheless, my
contacts don't see me 'Online'; I can talk to them but to them it looks
like I'm not connected. It's weird! It happens the same if I use the Web
version of MSN Messenger.

I've written 4 times to the support and I've tried all the suggestions
they told me, with no success.

I'm 99% sure the problem is in my account, or in your servers, since
other accounts can sign in without problems in the computers I've tried.

Please help me, I'm desperated.

I don't know what to do, nobody gives me a hint or solution.

Jonathan Kay [MVP], can you help me?

I've even tried to sign in from a different city and ISP, with no
success. What's happening to my account!?

See the following
http://messenger-support.spaces.live...3F!13932.entry

THEN See below if it did not help you

You can also try the following

Do the following:

a. On Start, Right Click and Click Explore, then press on Enter.
b. To show hidden files and folders, click on Tools, then select Folder Options. A
new window will open, click on the View tab; find the Hidden files and folders
section; click on the radio button that says: Show hidden files and folder. Finally,
click on OK, press F5 to refresh the window.
c. Delete the folder with the e-mail address you are having contacts issue with.
d. Click on Start, then Run, type Local Settings then press Enter.
e. Open these folders: Application Data > Microsoft > Windows Live Contacts then
open the folder with the email address you are having contacts issue with.
f. Your Windows Live Messenger e-mail address folder, delete the real folder and the
shadow folder.
g. Try to sign in to Messenger again.

Thanks for answering but it didn't work.

At least I have found out that there are more people with exactly the
same problem. Only having this error with a single account, no matter in
which computer and with which OS they try to sign in.
