I signed out of my MSN(Windows Live messenger), and about after an hour, when
I tryed to sign in I keep getting this message: "Error code: 81000359"

I can still sign on at hotmail.com, but I want to use my messenger!!

I reinstalled the whole thing and still nothing! I have look all over the
web for an answer to this problem...which seems to occur quite
often...however so solution exists....Some One please Help me!

My daughter is having the same problem. The others in our household are
fine, it just seems to be affecting her account.

Greetings,

Ah, that's interesting. What happens if she tries signing in on the WebMessenger:
http://webmessenger.msn.com?

Same here... the link you posted works, but the actual client on desktop does
not. Tried rebooting, then moving from the 8.1 to the latest beta... same
problem.
Can get mail as well, but the client cannot connect

I have also checked the parental controls, for the account being used to sign
into messenger is one of my member accounts. When I tried to totally remove
parental control, it gave me an error stating that the operation could not be
completed at the time. I have e-mailed MSN support to see if the respond.

This is what I tried, and Web Messenger works just fine. I made a new
account, and THAT works as well, so it seems to just be my original one. Why
are so many people having a problem with this?

And so many people all at once. Mine just started acting up yesterday, and
through Google it seems that hundreds, if not thoudsands, of us are having
the same error.
