Hi,

I am running XP and I suddenly started to get log in problems with the above
error code.

I have searched and searched followed the instructions and still can't sign
on. I have deleted the host files, which made no difference. Turned off my
firewall.

Any ideas?

Hello.
I have this problem too. Its extremely strange, because I can log in OK with
one of my accounts, but not with my other account (the important one!).
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I also have similar problem. I can not login to Live messenger with my
account. I can login to Hotmail and my Live profile page normally. I have
tried to login with few different computers and also web messenger without
success.

I also created a new test account to messenger and I can login normally with
it. So it isn't my settings. Msn servers just do not let me in.

Who can I contact to solve this problem? I have used messenger many years
and there has never been problems like this.

Greetings,

There appear to be some server problems today that will cause this error code to show up.
You'll just need to try again later.

I am having mixed results today. I have one user who is constantly receiving
this error while I have no problem log in. I logged into Messenger on the
machine of the user who is unable to connect and I had no problem connecting.
We went to my computer and the other user could not log into Messenger on my
machine. I have run the troubleshooting stuff and it all passed. We have no
proxy or SOCKS setting.

Hello,

actually I can't send anything from the link you provided. It just redirects
me to Finnish messenger help site. There are no means to contact any support
people.

I have log files to help troubleshooting the problem. I doubt they help much
because as far as I can see my main account just doesn't get response to
autenthication request from server. Test account gets the response without
problem.

Failed login:

(Sorry about this mess. Text formatting options are quite limited)

I think this is some kind of server problem. As someone already mentioned
resetting live password does not help.

I have been having this issue for the past month, after awhile it come back
up, but then it goes down again. I have not been able to use my "important"
msn account for the past 2 days. Same problem as all of you.

I know Johnatha Kay is right, their server must be down and some accounts
drop. It has nothing to do with our computers, routers, or settings or else
noone would be able to log in from that same PC. I guess we are the unlucky
ones any idea when this will be fix??? Thank you!!!
