Hello, I am a no-techie, so please tell me in simple words what to do
Here is my problem:

I installed ErrorFix on my Windows Vista computer to get rid of m
registry errors. After that I can't get my internet to work. I am tryin
to get help from the Administration department at ErrorFix, but the
don't seem to be able to help me at all, although I have told them wha
the problem is. I have been mailing them at least a dozen times, bu
they only give me strange advice which don't work at all. I think it i
very strange that they can't help me! I keep getting the messag
"Disconnected to internet" and when I try to connect it doesn't wor
because of the error message 815, which shouldn't be too hard to get ri
of, right? I don't think this is the first time anybody has gotten thi
message, so I don't see why they can't help me. Can anybody help me?

I am typing this from another computer, since I can't get the other on
to work. The strange thing is the people at ErrorFix don't seem t
understand that! They keep sending me web sites to download and so on
Which I can't. There must be something that can be done without usin
the internet.

Thank you in advance!

Many kind regards,

Maud Hedin

PS. I don't really know how this site works, but I sure hope somebod
will answer to my Hotmail account () and tell m
what to do

That is what happens when you use any Registry tool. They are all snake oil remedies
and cause problems all the time . You just found out the hard way. What I suggest to
you is to start over clean and reformat your system. Doing a System Restore will
probably not work in this case and system restore will not fix a registry issue
caused by a registry tool especially such as you were using. There will be people
telling you otherwise but remember what I said. Reformat and start new without
installing that reg tool or any other one.

Given how disruptive a complete reinstallation is, there's no good reason
not to try a system restore first...

If restore succeeds, the OP wins. If it fails, the other option is still
present. Kind of like Pascal's wager :-)
